Default Mother board ? - 10-14-2008, 01:39 PM

My friend’s mother board burnt out on his machine. So when the mother board goes bad on a machine do the components attached to it go bad as well? i.e the video card, the ram, and the processor.

Hi,

Not necessarily, it really depends on what has gone down and if it has carried the fault over onto the other components.

One issue that could cause other components to fail is an over voltage but with out knowing the problem it is impossible to say I'm afraid.
